I started Climates I (Iceland) in september 2007. The premise was simple: to follow the seasons, their climatic variations in the daily life reality of ithe people living there. I travelled thought Reykjavik, throughout the island, and shot portraits, landscapes and scenes of daily life. When I went back to Iceland in December 2008, their economical system had just collapsed, my photographic work had also to address this situation. July 2009 was the third journey, and it is with the aesthetic – one that privileges time, exposure and placing into situation. Climates I (Iceland) is a wandering exploration, so as to tell the stories of individuals, in a place where the geography is as important as the people.
